A: China did very well in the last Olympics in Athens.

B: I know, but I think they’ll do much better in Beijing.

我知道，但是我想中国队在北京奥运会上将表现更加出色。

A: I’m sure they will. It makes a big difference when the Olympics are in your own country.

我肯定他们会的。当奥运会在你们自己的国家召开情况会很不一样。

B: And in front of your own people.

而且是在自己国家的人民面前举行。

A: Yes, I think China will win lots of gold medals this time.

是的，我想中国这次将赢得很多块金牌。

B: So do I.

我也这样想。
