Experience in the Countryside
Last summer, I had an amazing experience in the countryside when I visited my grandparents in a village in Shandong Province. The village is located by the Huang He River and is surrounded by beautiful scenery such as woods, lotus leaves, and fields. However, the lack of entertainment options and the hot weather made the first few days quite boring.
One afternoon, my cousin Daniel and I were trying to find something to do to pass the time. Suddenly, Daniel came up with an idea - we should have a competition. He suggested that we dig a piece of mud, shape it into a bowl, and throw it onto the ground. The winner would be the one whose bowl made the loudest sound. At first, I thought it was a silly idea, but seeing how excited Daniel was, I decided to give it a try.
We went to the river and started playing with the mud. It felt amazing to have our hands and feet covered in the cool mud and water. We laughed and played for hours, completely forgetting about the time. It was such a fun and enjoyable experience that I will always remember.
Overall, my experience in the countryside was unforgettable. It allowed me to appreciate the beauty of nature and enjoy simple pleasures. I learned that sometimes, the most memorable experiences are the ones that are unplanned and spontaneous. I would highly recommend visiting the countryside to anyone looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Do you like music?
If I just said I like music, that would be the biggest understatement ever. I love it, not any particular genre, a bit of everything. Music is the expression of human thoughts and the soul of human society.
What's your favorite kind of music?
I am a rock buff. Actually I like all kinds of rock. Just name a few: metal core, industrial metal, classic rock and melodic death metal. My favorite band is Oasis. They help me get through my tough time.
Have you ever learned to play a musical instrument?
No, I think. I did try to learn guitar when I was in middle school. But I gave up when I had my thumb swollen and had blisters all over.
Which instrument would you prefer to study - the piano or the violin?
I love them both equally but I would learn piano first, first of all, it’s a lot easier starting off, and secondly, it’s a great jumping off point to learn other instruments.
Do you think it's important for children to learn (to play) a musical instrument?
I believe it is important. I think that learning to play an instrument teaches kids important things: comprehension, perseverance, discipline, a sense of pride. With music, they will also learn how to appreciate life.
My ideal job would be to work as an accountant. Accounting requires a combination of number crunching, math skills, and organizational abilities. However, the field of accounting has evolved and is no longer the boring job it used to be. The changing corporate culture has brought more glamour and significance to the role of an accountant. One exciting area within accounting is forensic accounting, where you play the role of a detective to uncover financial fraud. While number crunching is still a part of the job, it is not the only aspect.
To pursue a career in accounting, the first step is to find a reputable educational institution that offers courses in this field. It is important to ensure that the institution is recognized by the relevant accounting agency. After completing my education, I would aim to take the CPA examination, which is considered a milestone for accountants.
I possess the qualities required for an accountant, such as being careful and organized. I prefer a stable and predictable work environment, and accounting aligns with this preference. It involves sitting in an office and completing tasks efficiently. Additionally, the pay can be quite lucrative.
As I mentioned earlier, accounting involves number crunching, math skills, and a thorough understanding of financial transactions. It also requires the ability to memorize rules and concepts and solve word problems using mathematical formulas.
